UPS,
simple, easy
and affective.

Line Interactive - Step Wave

LINE INTERACTIVE technology with output waveform step-wave, ensures sufficient protection to computer loads and to all utilities where a switching power supply is the actual load of the UPS. This is because for this type of load the switching time between main supply and inverter does not affect the continuity of the load functioning.

HOW DOES A LINE INTERACTIVE UPS WORKS?

In the presence of a power supply network, the UPS with line interactive step-wave technology supplies the load through it filtering it in advance and stabilizing it thanks to an AVR (electronic stabilizer “automatic voltage regulator”). At the same time it charges the batteries and keeps them efficient. If the supply voltage is too low, too high or is missing, the UPS feeds the load through an inverter which takes energy from the batteries. Output waveform will be STEP-WAVE.

Basic Line Interactive - Sinusoidali
li-basic

They are part of this category machines designed to feed and protect computer loads and/or not complex IT equipments. For exemple PC, NAS or SOHO, small/ medium network devices or similar. In the design of this machines they are preferred small sizes and easy handling so that they won’t occupy too much space compared to their performance.

Usually these UPS also have a small weight, determined by the reduced number of batteries or by their lower capacity. It should be recalled that when the battery is smaller, it guarantees a lower autonomy and accordingly the machine will use the inverter for a shorter time. This makes possible to design the power components in a more contained way. Being designed for an IT market, these products are able to interface the machines that they feed.

They are recognized automatically by the WINDOWS systems or by devices such as NAS which can communicate plug&play even without the contribution of a third party software. Thanks to our special software (all freeware and available packed on our website), the possibility of managing and shutdown all of the operating systems and the ability to handle messages and alarms even remotely, expands the range of our available productivity solutions.

Key points
  • Cost
  • Contained dimensions, easy to handle
  • Plug&play on WINDOWS and NAS system
  • Software interface with management and
shut down

They are part of this category machines that can be used also in working environments different from the IT world. These UPS can handle more “complex” loads regarding the absorption of the power like for example cues as you turn on a motor. They are also useful for those who needs to count on a long lasting autonomy as in the case of the protection and of the battery power supply of a DVR of a video surveillance system. In almost all models are available data connections via USB or RS232 and consequently the entire range of software performances previously described.

Normally these UPS include a higher number of batteries with greater capacity compared to those of the same power but dedicated to the IT market. For this reason they have been designed with inverter components that can operate for a longer period of time.

In addition, the “industrial” typology classi cation of the load has imposed the use of a higher category of electronic components to ensure a better reliability. The result is a product that compared to the Basic UPS, has a higher cost, weight and dimension, but allows a superior performance.

Key points
  • Reliability
  • Higher autonomy
  • Maximum power in continuous functioning
  • Possibility to power loads different from IT
  • Plug&play on WINDOWS and NAS systems
  • Software interface with management and shut down
